On Monday at Full Tilt Poker the $1K tournament took place which featured a total of 341 poker players fighting for the first place prize. The tournament drew a lot of players and it could be due to many players trying to get in some practice before the World Series of Poker which is set to start. The first place prize was a little over $85K which is a pretty nice payday for the amount of players who competed in the event.
The chip stacks to start the final table were actually real close and nobody had a huge lead over anyone else. In total there was less then a 200K chip difference between first place and last place when the final table started which is fairly rare to see. This meant that anyone had a chance to win the event and it turned out that one of the short stacks to star the final table won the event.
Matt Shepsky who started the final table in second last place managed to fight the odds and come through with the victory on Monday and won just over $85K. The players who made it to the final table were as followed including their finishing position and how much they made.
• Matt Shepsky – $85250
• Kismatwala03197 – $54560
• Karl Fenton – $40920
• Kevin Stammen – $31542.50
• Greg Howard – $23870
• JGMRT3 – $17050
• DJFlunk – $11082.50
