If you aren’t in Las Vegas competing in the 2009 World Series of Poker and you’re still stuck playing online poker like most of us then you might be interested in playing in the Bodog Mini Poker Series this July. The series is a group of tournaments that will run throughout July will the top players from each tournament moving onto the next round.

In order to qualify for the semi-finals you will need to play in at least 7 of the mini tournaments or you will need to finish in the top 11-50 positions on the tournament leaderboard. The top 10 places on the tournament leaderboard will automatically receive a seat into the finals. The top 18 players from the semi-finals will move onto the final round with the other 10 players who moved on from finishing in the top 10 of the tournament leaderboard.

The event starts on the 3rd of July and the final doesn’t take place until the 23rd of July. There are 13 qualifying events for players to compete in so make sure you play in 7 of them so you qualify for the semi-finals automatically. The winner of the entire event will receive one complete package to the 2010 World Series of Poker next year in Vegas so there is definitely a big reason to play. Each of the events only cost $11 for the players buy-in so it shouldn’t break anyone’s bank.
